The Ojai Art Center (OAC) has eight branches -- each offering its featured performances and events -- and hosts a series of classes and special events such as Art in the Park, The Great Art Theft, and The Blues Festival. Since we opened our doors in 1939, our mission has been to support and advance the interest of the arts within our community.
Please feel free to come visit and enjoy all we have to offer. We encourage you to consider becoming a member, which will bring you the satisfaction of supporting the arts on a local level and providing you discounts on theatre productions, activity fees, art purchases, events, and our monthly newsletter. The Art Center Photography Branch is calling all photographers to participate in the annual photo exhibit in December. This is an open, no-themed exhibit. Entry fees are $15 each or 3 for $40—a maximum of 3 entries per person. No entry fees are required for students in grades 7-12. Fees are non-refundable. Some photos may not be selected. Drop off is Thursday, December 5, 5-7 p.m. Pick up is Thursday, Jan 2nd, 5-7 p.m. Artist’s reception is Saturday, December 14th, 1-3 p.m. More info.

The play earned Geraldine Page a Tony nomination for her powerful portrayal of Mother Miriam Ruth in the original Broadway production. It's a mystifying stage classic!
Crimes of the Heart – Directed by Sindy McKay, March 28 – April 20
This dark comedy won the 1981 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and earned a Tony nomination for Best Play, making Beth Henley one of the few women to win a Pulitzer for drama.
Young Frankenstein – Directed by John Medeiros, June 20 - July 20
A musical adaptation of Mel Brooks’ iconic film, this show has received three Tony Award nominations and widespread praise for its intricate and whimsical sets. It showcases the author's trademark comedic style!
Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors – Directed by Kimberly Demmary, September 26 - October 19
Though not as well-known, this comedic take on the classic vampire tale has been growing in popularity and winning audiences over with its clever writing, consistently earning rave reviews for its fresh humor and physical comedy.
Annie – Directed by Gai Jones, December 5 – December 21
This beloved musical won 7 Tony Awards in 1977, including Best Musical, and its signature song, "Tomorrow" has become one of the most recognized anthems in musical theater.
